The independent filmmakers Vincent Bitaud and Maximilien Van Aertryck approached Mahesh Shantaram with an idea to accompany him across India through the 2012-13 winter wedding season. This resulted in the eponymous film MATRIMANIA that takes a deep dive into the psyche of Shantaram's clients and their families to understand why the institution of marriage is so entrenched in our society.

The Map-Poster
This two-sided poster was designed by Kummer & Herrman and depicts all the cities and towns where images in Matrimania were shot. Unfortunately, the poster did not make it as an inclusion into the book as a planned special edition was never produced.
